GCC 2025 is a wrap—and what an unforgettable ride it was! From June 13–15, the Moonspire Games team touched down in Edmonton, Alberta to showcase our latest Speechbound demo at Game Con Canada, thanks to the generous support of ASUS 🎮. A huge shoutout to Marc Belisle, the incredible organizer, for welcoming us back this year! 🙌

Last year at GCC 2024, many of you may remember that Speechbound took home the award for Most Innovative Indie Game from CGMagOnline 🏆. This year, we were honored once again—this time receiving the “Best Studio” award! 🥳 We’re truly humbled and beyond grateful for the recognition.
💬 At our booth, we unveiled a brand new demo of Speechbound, and the response was nothing short of amazing! Thanks to all our wonderful fans who stopped by to play and share your excitement with us.

Last year’s prototype gave a peek into the core loop—turn-based battles, item scanning, and navigating through service tunnels. This year, we brought a complete revamp:
🧩 Enhanced graphics
🗣️ Fully interactive dialogue system
🧠 Helpcards and new mechanics
🔧 Township repair gameplay
🛍️ A full item and shop system
🧭 The all-new NAV menu, where players can track vocabulary, quests, progress, and inventory
The energy at the con was electric ⚡. We were blown away by your compliments on our art style, color palette, monster design, and the overall immersive feel of our language-learning adventure.
🙏 Thank you all so much for your support—it truly means the world to us. If you’d like to try our latest demo, come join us on Discord! We’re continuing to refine and expand the game, with a public release on the horizon.
📝 Don’t forget to wishlist Speechbound on Steam, and support our Kickstarter, now live for pre-signup!
With love,
